Getting this done BEFORE work this weekend so I don’t miss it by one day like last week (sorry again!). And we’ve reached the half-way point of June. We have just 15 days left this month is seriously flying by!
1. Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there. Cant really spend much time with our dad sadly today we both work. But gave him his gifts and he liked them. They are going out to Red Robin later today and the beach. Hope he has a fun day. Love you dad! Have a great day!
2. Today marks 20 years since The Lion King came out. I was just 14 when I saw a movie that changed my life. I fell in love with the movie. I remember the parade Disneyland had. It turned into a broadway show (I’ve sadly never seen but hear its good!). I had the soundtrack on cassette tape and listened to it for ages. I got the piano music and memorized the songs I could play. I fell in love with Timon and Pumba. I even had a crush for a bit there on Nathan Lane (voice of Timon). I’m admitting that now cause its no longer true. I was a young teen give me a break haha ;) Timon is the reason I love meerkats. And Hakuna matata I still say that because it means no worries for the rest of your days! It was the best Disney cartoon ever and I mean that. The best musical and one of my top favorites. I cant wait to have kids and show it to them. LOVE LOVE that film and cant believe its 20. I feel so old lol!
3. I have thanks to not working at all this week worked out TWICE! That’s gotta be a record. This week I have only one chance before our 5K on Saturday. But I cant wait for this one I hope it’s a blast! I love working out and it was fun even if I was tired. I even went a bit longer than I have. Which is good because the Del Mar Fair Grounds is longer than 3.1 miles of a usual 5K as I felt it was in 2013!
4. I haven’t really worked much this week at all. I worked just Saturday (yesterday). Today I work but that starts this work week. I have only one more shift because of the race Saturday and slow hours. But I still love my job. I work hard. I’m almost through 90 days. Hard to believe but its true! Hope I work more this week and next these less hours is killing me.
5. So on Friday I got to go to Legoland. I haven’t been back there since New Years Eve! It was a fun day. My sister got me discounts for 50% day I got a few fun things not as much as when I used to work there. I remember in 2012 I spent nearly $200. I only spent $36 on Friday. I went in Sea Life, walked around the park, saw the Lego Movie experience. My sister helped Julia Roberts who was visiting the park. I didn’t see her sadly : ( But it was a good day all around. I miss the park and it makes me sad I still cant work there maybe someday they will let me back…
This week will be slow with only one more shift. But the race is on Saturday. And maybe I can work again one more time. Here’s to hoping. Hope all the dads out there have a great day. And everyone has a wonderful week. See you on Sunday!
