Happy May Day! I never understood what it was about but looked it up. Something to do with work and I think it is not for this country? But May day there you go.
1. I worked just twice last week again. My second week in a row of not working more than twice. Very annoying. This coming week I am working a bit more. Work is just work I know. But still I wish I could get a better job. One not in CS would be great. But unsure at this point if I could. I am unsure if I can get help even from school to get a better job. I think in the end it is all me. I can go to our career center. Or another one. But I have to put fourth the effort or I am never going to get a better job or a 2nd job whatever works here. So there you go.
2. School this week I did my 2nd test for online and got a much better score. Hurrah for that one. A "B" not a "D" makes me happy. I think it helped doing it at Panera Bread not at home where less things to distract me and more room to spread out. Although part of the reason my home space is crowded is me not just cause it is. In person I finished project 3 and shall see soon how I did on that. I tried so there you go. Just a few more weeks left of school. But so much still to do. Final project, 2 more test online, 1 more project for library. So much to do and yet so much done.
3. Volunteered my last time on Thursday. I gave myself an extra 3 hours there so that is an extra 6 hours of extra credit past my 15. I was over it by then so I am okay with just that. I just worked on publisher which now I get how it works but still should work on it more to understand it. I got my review or whatever you want to call it. I still have stuff to do with it now done including turning it in, going onine and filling out a form now that I am done, but I have put up my review on a board so I am half way there. Yup. This was worth a lot of points more than any other project or half my grade. So glad that is done.
4. Last week was not just long cause of school but THREE days of going to school early for stuff not related to school totally. I went to Media Days on Monday & Tuesday which was speakers from all areas of media that talked about how they got where they are and how to get there. I didn't go to all of them but had fun at the ones I did go to. Then on Wednesday was a job fair that was a lot of jobs. I have yet to fill out an online app for the ones I was interested in. I need to do that asap. But I did have fun got lots of freebies. Long tiring week.
5. Our cat Rocky got really icky sick last week. Wednesday he was acting odd. On Thursday we figured out he was actually having issues. We thought he had a blockage or a uti or something with his urine as he was not eating much or going bathroom much and would hiss or growl if you touched the tip of his tail at the base. This is a cat that NEVER hisses or growls. He is super sweet and was in a lot of pain. So Friday my sister took him in. He had a rupture in a gland on his butt area. Super gross and very expensive nearly $500 on my emergency credit card for this. Now he has a cone on his head, and pain pills and two weeks more of this. Poor baby. Please Jackie stay healthy.
