Happy Easter and good bye March all in ONE day! Tomorrow is April? Eek really!?
1. I am still not working. It sucks. The 28th marked 3 months since my last day I should have worked. I didnt think it would take THIS long to get a job. Then again I was sure LL would take me back like norm in March like last year. And ironic as that is. My sister is working A LOT because of how Easter fell in March. It caused Spring Break to be extended so half of April the park is open 7 days a week going back to 5 mid April till probably June. They will look at me again in May. I am trying to be HOPEFUL I can find a good job with dental before then. But God KNOWS and I mean it why I cant get a job. I dont even get call backs. For every 30 jobs I apply for (I need 10 for every 2 weeks for UE) I get 1 call maybe 2 if I am lucky. Usually its for jobs I didnt really care for but needed to apply for or they are too far away. It sounds nice to work in San Diego but with no car except my dads till my sister gets one I am sunk. I am trying to get somewhere with CSB but my mentor has gone MIA and hasnt written me and I wrote him 3 weeks ago. I'm trying not to freak out. I figure if I get an internship this Summer or Fall is my *GOAL* then I will call him if he doesnt email me back. Yeah...oh job where are you?
2. Speaking of anniversarys. Last week marked 4 years since our first of two tornados in our area in TN. It feels so strange thinking about and recalling things when I live this far away. But memories are powerful and mine are unforgettable. This was the smallest of 2 (the biggest 2 were on one day April 10th will talk about it when it passes in 2 weeks). It came on March 28th 2009. I was at home with the kids aka our little zoo. Princess bless her heart miss her, was still with us. So it was me, 1 dog and FOUR cats. It was a severe thunder storm warning and it was very crazy out there. My sister at work and just me. Tornado WATCH in effect. But no sirens I had NO clue there was a tornado close by! Wasnt till next day when my sister asked if a tornado had hit the boys & girls club that I realized when it happened. It also hit the small movie theater near us. My favorite still was the lady they interviewed who was watching "The Knowing" (with Nicholas Cage) and she thought the sounds of the movie were REALLY good not knowing it was a tornado! It wasnt large it damaged a piece there and knocked the roof off the boys & girls club. I remember reading people were in the local restaurant (same lot of theater) and they were all told to run to the middle and duck as debree was flying around from the tornado. Thank God we were okay even if it was close by! (about 10 min driving from us)
3. I have ADD so I get depressed very easily. When nothing excited is happening or all things are gone. March was built up to be a big month. So now with nothing really to look forward to I have been easily depressed. It could be other things besides the fact I dont have a job. I dont have the motivation to do anything when I get up but go online, workout sometimes (no pressure now with no race to train for), read at night. Watch lots of tv. My sleep has been a mess this week. I am dealing best I can but being home so much when my sister works all the time isnt a fun time for me. No matter the fact I do have stuff I both want and need to get done!
4. Workouts this week have been nearly none! I took a nice break on Monday with no workout. Then come Thursday I did a wiifit just 25min, and a 20 min walk. Nothing harsh at all. Now its nice to keep doing this but honestly that wasnt our last 5K for this year so I dont want to stop running. For now at least power walks and wiifit and zumbas to get me by. Hope to get back at it this week again more often if nothing Monday then Wednesday! Cant give up just yet
5. Happy Easter! Good Friday came and went. I felt weird going to church on a Saturday. I dont feel like today is easter. We havent dyed eggs in years (we did it for fun in TN it was a blast the one time we tried...). I dont know what it is but doesnt feel easter. Still we are getting half priced candy tonight, some from my mom. She made frieds chicken not ham. Because we dont like ham. I miss Easters of the past when Grandma was alive and we had ham on Easter. It was a bigger deal as a teen and kid then it was now a days. But its Easter. Pagan behind it or not. The reason WE as Christians celebrate is Jesus rose from the dead. And if you dont believe it then it makes me wonder why so many non-believers still come to Church this day (and Christmas). I pray many will be saved as always God doesnt want anyone to not be saved. But brownie points dont count in the end you must ask Jesus in your heart to go to heaven. So I hope you all have a wonderful day. He died for all our sins and will all need Him even if you do believe you still need Him. I know I do every day all the time! If you want to read a GREAT book I discovered years ago my first Max Lucado book "He Chose the Nails" it will blow your mind! I fell in love with that book, still my fav and the author I have read and own nearly all his books. Enjoy!!
Till next weekend, April. Dont be a fool tomorrow on April Fool's Day!! ;)
Every weekend I write down the top 5 things that happened to me from the week it ends on (usually Sundays). Stole/borrowed the idea from author Sarah Dessen. Very fun!

Weekend 5 (Sunday, March 24th 2013)
Next week is Easter!?!?
1. Spent all week at home alone. I honestly didnt leave at all since last weekend till Saturday. Its sad. But its what happens when I dont work. I wish I was working. I wanted to be at the park when the hotel opened. Heck I wanted to be working at the hotel maybe. Sadly the closest I have to seeing the park was going with my sister to get her check on Saturday so I got to see the employee lot and the finished hotel from that side...
2. Workouts this week were okay. There were just 2. I never made it to 4 min running, 2 min walking. I only 3 running 3 walk for just two days. And only 45 min each time. Knowing what I know now about the race it wouldnt have mattered truly wouldnt have
3. Spring is here. I am very glad for my most favorite season to arrive! Bring on flowers, and sun and beautiful weather. Been warmere here but nothing harsh. I know in AZ they already hitting 80's wow. I dont miss that but in many ways I do miss AZ and all we had there
4. Saw the San Diego Zoo today for the first time since 2007. It was a fun short trip. Finally getting to try out our new passes. Sad they dont include the bus so we had to walk a lot. We were exhausted but saw a few animals. Not much of the zoo close to half. A bit diappointing but what can you expect after a race. 3hrs was all we had it was fun though :)
5. The Race for hot chocolate. First of all the expo on Saturday and the chocolate after the race was lots of fun. No complaints. My complaint is downtown SD sucks! The hills up and down. They put the course all over the place. The majority of it was up hill big hills! There 3 down and at least 7 plus up. Maybe more. It was so tiring I spent more time walking then running. I cheated at the end there just a bit because my sis passing me when I going up the insane last hill. She going other way. Probably screwed up my time but its okay. I didnt care at that point I just wanted to get done and I finished with her which was much more fun. After chocolate fun yes it was awesome. I love chocolate. Felt a bit funny from all that but still chocolate love!!
till next weekend last one in March!

Weekend 5 (Sunday, March 17th 2013)
Happy St. Patrick's Day!! :)
1. The weather this week is much improved. While last week we had 3 days of rain this week plenty of sunshine. Not a single rainy day. Some partly cloudy but that was it! Most days sunny and 70's or mid 60's. If it starts cloudy it gets sunny. Spring is just 3 more days away this week :D Cant wait tis still my most favorite Season ever :)
2. Workouts this week much improved. I spent Mon & Wed doing 3 run 3 walk but only for 45 mint. But on Friday I went 1 hr. My pedometer was behaving right and I knew that I could do my 5K 3.1mile race in 1 hr which was my *goal*. The Hot Chocolate Run (more below) wants you done in an hour or less...
3. Sleep this week has been a rollercoaster. I have been trying to get to bed earlier. So I have been successful sometimes and sometimes not. So I failed the night before our race. Even though I went to bed between 2 and 3 for two nights Thur & Fri I couldnt sleep more than 30 min last night. Sucks for me but I am okay. I hope to get my sleep under better control this week we shall see! Next race is much earlier so I have to get up at 4am or sooner in a week!
4. Church was good last night. We have to register to say we are coming and what days for Easter. Never done this before. This will be our first Easter at our new church we began last June. The messages are great. I was just a bit confused. Last week they made it sound like its okay to not tithe or not tithe 10% but this week they tried to make us all feel guilty even those of us like me with no job who cant give more than $2 every two weeks from my small unemployment money. I still love my church but I hate that they want to try to force everyone to give. I was trying last year while at hickory for a bit there to do very close to 10% until hours got messed up and I was suffering more by tithing then not so I dropped it to $1 or sometimes $5. Great if you have a job, good hours, pay wonderful to give 10% every week or every other but its not for everyone and wish that churches would understand. I get some people arent giving who can maybe thats what the point was but it felt like he was telling us ALL to do it. And thats just not possible for me or my sister currently.
5. I left todays race for last. I loved todays race. I was sooo tired. It was a long drive took us 1hr to get down there. We got down around 7:20 had to park and walk over. But it was the best. We got a metal, a cute backpack, some good food, nice tshirt. My favorite part was the metal never got one of those before. We got a late start. We should have gone at 8:10 but didnt begin till near 8:30. I came in at just under 58 mint which was good for me. I am amazed because that is nearly what I got on my dairy dash in TN in 2010 and I had trained for weeks and was going farther. Maybe the count was off. My poor sister doesnt know what she got as her name/number wasnt on the sheets. I am hoping they post them online or I will be contacting them to ask about it. It was all done on the streets so it was a bit ackward running/walking next to cars. We went 1.5 one way and turned back around 1.5 the other. A car went through the cones and the cop told him to pull over I think they got a ticket for doing that they could have hit the walkers. Lame. My favorite part was I had just turned around a block before. I was on the other side doing my jog (I cant really run persay I jog) and two ladies who werent skinny like me were walking. They looked over at me (I am assuming me since I was the only one there where they looking) and the one said to other "shes not doing too bad." I didnt know till today I could inspire like that. An example that not skinny out of shape people can do these races too and not walk the whole thing. I am also proud that I began the race at the very last place I was in the back none behind me. But once I began my 3R/3W I passed people. I was number 586 with about 10 after me finishing. Just good day all in all. We both tried the free beer but only a sip. My first and probably last beer I can see why its an aquired taste. Sadly never got our irish tacos :( I guess they ran out with that many ahead of me and my sister who was about 10 mint before me didnt get any either. Got some nice free food not bad. Went to CiCi's after met up with my sisters friend and her fam. Had lunch came home and napped for 3hrs more. Bed early tonight.
One more week till the Hot Chocolate Run!! And this time it will be for chocolate and we will get it no matter what ;)
Till next time...

Weekend 5 (Sunday, March 10th 2013)
Welcome to the new time aka "Daylight Savings Time" yeah I wanted to say I have been feeling it sorta. It was odd. I went to bed at the new 5:30am (not on purpose) and really that was 4:30am so it felt early. I got up at 2:30pm but was 1:30pm. So I felt like I went to bed and got up earlier haha ;p
1. We had what I hope is the LAST rain storm of this Winter this week. It lasted off and on for 3 days. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It came in pieces but was gone by Thursday so glad! Now its all sunny and nice again. Was 70's today and will continue this week, with just 10 days till Spring. I know there are worst things then just rain like the flooding or snow happening on the east coast or was this past few days for their last Spring storm. It poured rain on Tuesday night so hard it scared me and I thought it would flood and then there were flood chances in some areas that night. No joke. Spring cant come soon enough!
2. I havent been having the best sleep this week. Some nights I sleep okay. Others I struggle for hours even if was exhausted from not sleeping much night before. I blame not having a bed sometimes on this. It causes back pain and I wish I could get a real bed! I've never not had a bed and been sleeping on a flat mattress that should be replaced soon since we moved out here in November 2011. I hope to get back to sleeping better again really soon
3. Workouts this week have been okay. I had to space them out and take a break. Different reasons. Either way I did like what I did. 3 min run, 3 min walking. I have one more week of doing this before our first race and then will be 4 min run, 2 min walking as of next week right before our second race. Speaking of races. Our St Patricks Day race is just 1 week away. I will be doing it before I even write my weekend 5 so wish me luck. Its at 8am in the morning in San Diego. Me and my sister will be dressing up with green hair, green nail polish, green things for our head, necklaces, socks and stickers on our shoes and on our faces. Unsure the color of the shirt but besides that and pants its all green baby. Hope to go to the zoo after. And I hope I get some sleep. At this point I will be getting up at 4:30am which is around the time I go to bed normally. GOAL this week is to get back to bed earlier by Friday night I want to be going to bed by 12am. Its so hard when you dont work to have a normal bedtime when you are a nightowl normally.
4. Saw two movies this week which I normally dont do (2 in 1 week that is). Usually Tuesdays is our movie night if we find a movie to see. This week it was the non-3D "Jack the Giant Slayer" and it was excellent. Nicholas H. and Ewan M. you did a great job! I heard 3D isnt worth it. And then our night for seeing the 9:10pm (not 10 or 12) showing for "OZ The Great and Powerful" was more eventful. First off there werent that many people there to see it in 3D that time of night. It was supposed to rain but it held off. After dinner at Hometown Buffet we rushed over there 2 hrs early. And since noone was waiting we waited inside. About an hour before our showing the power went out in the theater. I was in the restroom at the time and didnt realize it was the whole theater but my sister told me. All the movies got messed up, people came out not knowing it was not just them. They slowly had to fix the pictures and sound and we thought it ok. Till we got to our theater at 9:10 and it kept screwing up. Finally they came in after 2 times of the picture going away before even previews began to tell us the theater we in had been having issues ALL day so we had to move to another theater on the other side. It was a bigger one so no complaints but not many people (I am guessing with us there were about 15). I loved the movie in 3D just glad there were no more issues after that :/
5. Church is great. I am writing this last one about it because of how much I love going. We spent a few months not going at all either listening online or just not doing anything. I missed it. Since going back I am so addicted to the church, the messages, etc I hope I dont have to stop. FYI if you are a Christian you should try to go to church at least sometimes. Regular if possible. I know reasons come up you cant go, you dont have to go, but honestly its better for you heart and soul to go even if its just sometimes. I love you "The Movement Church" :)
AND bonus
6. Just cause its on "TV" doesnt mean you should get it. That is a lesson I have learned recently. I bought 2 tv items at walmart i had seen on tv. I wanted them and they work fine so no complaints to them. But 2 I didnt get just means one thing: get the reviews before you spend. Wal*mart and now even Target has a "As Seen on TV" section in their stores. A nice place teo buy stuff they want without having to order the tv version. I almost a few weeks ago after seeing countless ads for it "Waxvac" for your ears. I have an issue with water in my ears I had lots of ear infections as a baby and kid. So I almost got it. Only $10 why not. Well I looked on amazon after waiting and found the reviews for this product sucked. My sister had advised me in advance to not do it but not listening to just her I listened to the reviews. Check them out for yourself if you ever considered it and see why not... Next up is "Forever Comfy" a thing for your chair to make you comfy.I sit online a lot and in a chair thats not comfortable. So for $20 get a comfy thing for your chair to help you not be in pain. I saw it at Target last night and was excited till I read the reviews. While some claim ALL the complaints (none were positive but like 2) were because of bad shipping if you buy from the site. Most were because the cushion doesnt keep working. It leaks, gets flat and wont remain in shape after a few uses. Most made it a week before it got bad. So guess what I wont be getting.
Lesson here: read the reviews if you really want something. Just cause its on tv, and in stores doesnt mean its all its supposed to be cracked up to be!
Till next week and half way thru March!

Weekend 5 (Sunday, March 3rd 2013)
Welcome to March! Its a busy month for us. But a happy one. Hope for a few surprises this month and one I cant say till its for sure :)
1. So this month is super busy and crazy. In a week is Daylight Savings. I will be happy for an extra hour of daylight especially since its in the evenings I usually workout! But in 2 weeks just two weeks till our first race on St Patricks Day. I am waiting ot hear when we pick up our stuff. Hot Chocolate is the following Sunday. And in 3 weeks the last Sunday in March is Easter! Hurray for busy Sundays. I am working hard to make this a fun month but it will be crazy. Its okay I live and thrive in crazy :)
2. Workouts this week have been excellent! I did my last 2 min run/4 min walk on Friday. Today soon as I get off here I will be off for my first 3 min run/3 min walk. I am using my ipod again for the first time since I got it I used it on Fri. It was fun but different. I hope to add some actual bike riding soon but unsure when. Bad allergies and a not fun cold has kept us from doing too much (us meaning me and my sister). But all and all I am pleased with my results! Bring on 3 min!!
3. The weather has been screaming SPRING for the past few. Back to 60's today but it is simply beautiful out. Light clouds, blue skies, a cool breeze. We had 3 days this week where it went over 80*. And it wasnt even March when it did one of them! Happy times. I love Spring. I know if I was in the south it would mean tornados. Here it means flowers and birds and happiness. Allergies about the only thing I hate about spring :/
4. Well my ipod came a week ago and I am still falling in love with it. I worry about taking it out in public even on my runs but I will be careful. I am debating still to use it at the two races. I think I will since I am running them some sorta kinda. But keep an eye on it for sure. I do not want to lose this. Its fun. I love the apps the games. I am finally using the camera again. SO SO happy I have a nice ipod again. I am thinking about resetting my old one on this computer and then allowing my sister to have it more updated then it has been. Then I need to delete the itunes from other laptop and work on my flipvideos. How can it be march this year is getting away from me!
5. Coffee is my last thought for the week. First off I love coffee. Addict since 2006! But Burger King has these cheap coffees ice or hot $.25 till March 10th. And we get them daily. We had our last 7eleven $1 on Wed I dont think they will continue into March. Which means in a week I wont have any cheap coffee bummer! Always on the look out for the next best cup. Coffee I love you :)
till next week and our new time....
