Welcome welcome to Summer!! I only say that because of the HEAT WAVE we are experiencing as I write this. Heat wave for us beach people is anything 90* or higher. I know inland is suffering deeply. This takes me back to my good old days of living in Arizona but not so much as they are suffering too way worse than here. Still 90* inside yuck. I am stuck together and long for the days of cooler temps. My favorite season is Spring. What is yours?
1. Monday we went to the Del Mar Fair. I didnt know for sure we would get to go this year. I am broke and no job of course so that was fun still I found money even if I have hardly any extra left. We went earlier too so there was that. All to see a concert which took our extra time. Normally we arrive around 3:30 or 4. This time we made the 11:08 train so after bus we got to the fair about 12pm. And stayed till 8:30. This is the longest we have done for the fair I think ever maybe around what we did for our first one out there the free one in 2014. So after we there and we didnt ride much. In fact despite arriving so early we didnt see the turkey trot or the pig race. We never made it to the animals. But we did ride our ride, get some odd food the cheap food isn't but on Thursdays so we paid more. It was hot so we spent time inside. The candy theme "How Sweet it Is" was everywhere. So much unicorn stuff. But we only tried the ice cream it was a bit sweet. We split up and yeah that was good but yeah a lot of sugar lol. After walking around and buying a few small things and some food. And our ride just one way. We saw The Ojays. Sadly the concert didnt start at 7 but 7:30 and we had to leave by 8 so we could make the bus by 8:30 so we only heard a half hour. But it was nice and cool up there for the time being. And had fun. I honestly think I know 2 songs by them and heard one. By end of day I felt horrible. Tired from two days of lack of sleep. The heat and odd food selections. It made me glad to be home when we got home that night. OH well had fun no complaints. Glad we got to go!
2. July 3rd is a sad reminder each year of how far and long I am from my first job closing a store. B&N closed their doors the one I at 14 years ago on July 3rd 2004. I want to tell you had sad I was back then and even now when that happened. I was about to graduate college. I had plans. I was going to go full time till I could save enough money to move to LA to pursue my dream of entertainment broadcasting (not knowing how hard it is and how much you need actual experience which I didnt have yet) when I found out my store was closing for good. I could have moved on to another store store but with few options I ended up not. I lost my store my co workers and my broken heart at closing a store for 3 weeks. I was only out of work a month before I got hired at Lego Store my beloved downtown Disney job. But it felt longer. I will always recall the last day we open July 3rd and how sad it was to say good bye.
4. 4th of July long but fun day. We shortened a bit. Originally we planned to go to San Clemente Beach for the whole day for swimming chilling then fireworks. Then we decided to go later and just put our feet in the water. After looking for shoes for my sister and me at this outlet mall never been to... we parked and got situated. At the beach like 3.5hrs from 6 to 9:30. We didnt get to the beach till like 7 after walking and such. Put our feet in the water, got a slice of pizza each and waited for the fireworks. We sat on the beach a first we usually just walk up as they begin and barely see them. Had fun!! Then Dennys before we headed home. Nice night loved it. Happy 242nd USA!!
5. Thursday I had an interview at The Animal Keeper which is like a place people leave their pets when they go on vacation. I am unsure if this would work out. They would have to be okay with me not working Sundays or Wednesdays. And in the fall it would be Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. They have odd schedules. Well Thursday night after that interview we went and saw Ant Man & The Wasp. Good film very funny!! I almost liked it better than the first. Truly would see it again if I could :)
Church is good as always. Had a guest speaker on Sunday so that was different but fun. Well I will see you all next weekend. My show will be back on the air DJ after taking a break for the 4th of July. As always I am working on my show ideas, looking for a job and trying to stay cool. Next week after this FULL week will be a lot less not so full. Hope for the beach maybe or the gym or a movie but not much else. Till next weekend have a good one.
