Weekend 5 (Sunday, March 10th 2013)

Welcome to the new time aka "Daylight Savings Time" yeah I wanted to say I have been feeling it sorta. It was odd. I went to bed at the new 5:30am (not on purpose) and really that was 4:30am so it felt early. I got up at 2:30pm but was 1:30pm. So I felt like I went to bed and got up earlier haha ;p

1. We had what I hope is the LAST rain storm of this Winter this week. It lasted off and on for 3 days. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It came in pieces but was gone by Thursday so glad! Now its all sunny and nice again. Was 70's today and will continue this week, with just 10 days till Spring. I know there are worst things then just rain like the flooding or snow happening on the east coast or was this past few days for their last Spring storm. It poured rain on Tuesday night so hard it scared me and I thought it would flood and then there were flood chances in some areas that night. No joke. Spring cant come soon enough!

2. I havent been having the best sleep this week. Some nights I sleep okay. Others I struggle for hours even if was exhausted from not sleeping much night before. I blame not having a bed sometimes on this. It causes back pain and I wish I could get a real bed! I've never not had a bed and been sleeping on a flat mattress that should be replaced soon since we moved out here in November 2011. I hope to get back to sleeping better again really soon

3. Workouts this week have been okay. I had to space them out and take a break. Different reasons. Either way I did like what I did. 3 min run, 3 min walking. I have one more week of doing this before our first race and then will be 4 min run, 2 min walking as of next week right before our second race. Speaking of races. Our St Patricks Day race is just 1 week away. I will be doing it before I even write my weekend 5 so wish me luck. Its at 8am in the morning in San Diego. Me and my sister will be dressing up with green hair, green nail polish, green things for our head, necklaces, socks and stickers on our shoes and on our faces. Unsure the color of the shirt but besides that and pants its all green baby. Hope to go to the zoo after. And I hope I get some sleep. At this point I will be getting up at 4:30am which is around the time I go to bed normally. GOAL this week is to get back to bed earlier by Friday night I want to be going to bed by 12am. Its so hard when you dont work to have a normal bedtime when you are a nightowl normally.

4. Saw two movies this week which I normally dont do (2 in 1 week that is). Usually Tuesdays is our movie night if we find a movie to see. This week it was the non-3D "Jack the Giant Slayer" and it was excellent. Nicholas H. and Ewan M. you did a great job! I heard 3D isnt worth it. And then our night for seeing the 9:10pm (not 10 or 12) showing for "OZ The Great and Powerful" was more eventful. First off there werent that many people there to see it in 3D that time of night. It was supposed to rain but it held off. After dinner at Hometown Buffet we rushed over there 2 hrs early. And since noone was waiting we waited inside. About an hour before our showing the power went out in the theater. I was in the restroom at the time and didnt realize it was the whole theater but my sister told me. All the movies got messed up, people came out not knowing it was not just them. They slowly had to fix the pictures and sound and we thought it ok. Till we got to our theater at 9:10 and it kept screwing up. Finally they came in after 2 times of the picture going away before even previews began to tell us the theater we in had been having issues ALL day so we had to move to another theater on the other side. It was a bigger one so no complaints but not many people (I am guessing with us there were about 15). I loved the movie in 3D just glad there were no more issues after that :/

5. Church is great. I am writing this last one about it because of how much I love going. We spent a few months not going at all either listening online or just not doing anything. I missed it. Since going back I am so addicted to the church, the messages, etc I hope I dont have to stop. FYI if you are a Christian you should try to go to church at least sometimes. Regular if possible. I know reasons come up you cant go, you dont have to go, but honestly its better for you heart and soul to go even if its just sometimes. I love you "The Movement Church" :)

AND bonus

6. Just cause its on "TV" doesnt mean you should get it. That is a lesson I have learned recently. I bought 2 tv items at walmart i had seen on tv. I wanted them and they work fine so no complaints to them. But 2 I didnt get just means one thing: get the reviews before you spend. Wal*mart and now even Target has a "As Seen on TV" section in their stores. A nice place teo buy stuff they want without having to order the tv version. I almost a few weeks ago after seeing countless ads for it "Waxvac" for your ears. I have an issue with water in my ears I had lots of ear infections as a baby and kid. So I almost got it. Only $10 why not. Well I looked on amazon after waiting and found the reviews for this product sucked. My sister had advised me in advance to not do it but not listening to just her I listened to the reviews. Check them out for yourself if you ever considered it and see why not... Next up is "Forever Comfy" a thing for your chair to make you comfy.I sit online a lot and in a chair thats not comfortable. So for $20 get a comfy thing for your chair to help you not be in pain. I saw it at Target last night and was excited till I read the reviews. While some claim ALL the complaints (none were positive but like 2) were because of bad shipping if you buy from the site. Most were because the cushion doesnt keep working. It leaks, gets flat and wont remain in shape after a few uses. Most made it a week before it got bad. So guess what I wont be getting.
Lesson here: read the reviews if you really want something. Just cause its on tv, and in stores doesnt mean its all its supposed to be cracked up to be!

Till next week and half way thru March!
