Last one of these in June? Where has the time gone? Hope you have had a great month ours hasn't been so fab but dealing best we can! Carry on friends!
1. Our cats turned 8 today. I recall the day our crazy neighbor left them with us claiming she would be back for them. She wanted us to check on them in her apartment where her crazy husband could come back and beat the crap out of us as he had done to her. The place was trashed she was gone and nothing hardly there but 2 scared 3 month old kittens with adult cat food and not enough. They had ripped the bag open trying to get food they so hungry. We took them back to our place not wanting to leave them there in fear for their lives. After she only came back once to give them more food kitten this time not adult and then not again for months. She thought we had found them a home. We had tried. We ended up getting Rocky fixed in December, updating both their shots. Jackie had to wait a few years. We put up ads online and their pictures in near by vet offices saying they had to go together. We will never know their real birthday or if they really related. Just know sometime in June was our guess and they found together when she found them so we think related. Either way we kept them eventually for good and here we are. Love them. And my dog Rainbow turned 14 on the 23rd. I love her so much! I pray for a few more years with her. She is my life she is my kid. I gave her a new bed and a carrier for those long walks or when I can carry her the whole time. Its a bit odd to get her in it but she stays once there and it fits me so I am keeping it. Fun times! I didn't get her toys as she hardly plays with them and has so many already. I got the cats each a toy that they so far played with one big amount of time once. Haha cats! Dogs! Pet babies :)
2. Took my dog to the vet on the 22nd. Found out she did indeed scratch her eye on our walk on that hike the week before. So much sucks about this! I had to put $91 on my emergency credit card that my sister used few months ago for our cat. The card now has close to $600 on it. The limit is $1800. I will be needing part for her thing for her heart at this rate because my job isn't getting me hours again they are not being fair on this one. So yeah about that. So she has a cone for 2 weeks, drops and meds that will run out tonight. The drops not till next week. I have to go back to our vet for a recheck up to make sure she is healing. I think she is doing better praying she is. She isn't so watery eyed and doesn't paw it so much but hates the cone. We all hate the cone she cant go places she loves to sleep. And keeps flipping our water dishes on the floor or carpet. She cant help it but still sucks for her and us poor thing :(
3. The 20th marked the first day of Summer which we have been feeling for weeks now. It also marked my half birthday. I am now half way between my 36th and 37th birthday. I don't feel my age btw. I still cant believe at times how OLD I am. Heading towards 40 looking at my 20th High School reunion in 2 year. Time truly does fly! Yikes.
4. Its been 6 years since we announced on facebook our moving to Arizona from TN. I will never regret our move. It brought me an internship I could not find in TN. We could see in a big apartment we can still be okay and spread out and unpack. I loved AZ heat and storms and all. I loved being close enough a 6 hr car ride to California home and seeing our family at the holidays. I am still unsure why it ended so fast. I miss TN still terribly but will never regret our move to AZ ever.
5. Work has been busy. But last week not so much. I only worked 3 sad days coming in around under 12hrs. :( This week I am not working much a bit more. As said it will NOT be enough for me to pay for my dogs heart thing she should have done it this month and I am now trying for August before school begins again. Its just not fair. I don't get why they cant give me lots of hours when I can work anything. Its barely enough for me to do my usual stuff. Doesn't help that I had to get her flea meds this month and next month I have an extra medicine she gets ever 3 or 4 months and renewing my membership with Petcare RX program $50. That on top of the normal stuff. Just zero fun thanks. And get to start making my own credit card payments with my sister come August for this last fun. Life is so tough right now. Need a new job asap. I'd take a paid internship and this job too in the fall. We shall see gonna apply to a few this week before end of month is my goal.
till next weekend stay cool. Keeping my cousin in prayer she had to put down one of her 3 cats. He hung in there for 6 extra months but got so bad with cancer. Cancer sucks! She misses him a lot poor Monster. Prayers for her and her 2 others :( Hang in there cousin!
Every weekend I write down the top 5 things that happened to me from the week it ends on (usually Sundays). Stole/borrowed the idea from author Sarah Dessen. Very fun!

The Weekend 5 (Sunday, June 19th 2016)
Sad to hear that actor Anton Yelchin has died at age 27. What a horrible way to die and way too young! RIP :( And it is Fathers Day. Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there. I have to work again so there you go.
1. Worked a lot last week a lot. Meaning around 27 hours. Not as much as the week before but this will be my largest check all year long and possibly in a year since last Summer! Hope to set aside $200 for my dogs thing plus pay for stuff that I couldn't cause last check was so lacking. My dogs health thing and flea meds are bigger things. Her birthday gifts for Thursday. Stuff like this. Yeah for hours. UE gave me $54 for my last checks. Unsure why so low. I think changing my status to PT from FT less money for me idk why. I was hoping for $60 or more. Will take what I can and save it.
2. Been 5 years since I began my internship in AZ. What a great Summer! I had so much fun doing my FOX10 internship got some experience. Hope to do another one soon. But wont be the same. Taking the lightrail, doing the American idol thing, being hit on a few times, almost dying in the over 100* sun, getting a foot tan that took months to go away once we moved, so much fun there. I love AZ and will never regret my first internship ever!
3. Took dog to the vet on Tuesday. Got that out of the way. Hurrah. Sad have to go back again this week for another visit for another reason. But she all good on all her stuff. No news is good news so nothing wrong for her blood or other test they ran. Cost me nothing was planning on costing $80 for the blood nothing cost. This week not so much probably sigh.
4. Went on a hike on Wednesday up to San Diego by Mira Mesa. Had fun long walk. Now my dogs eye is acting up and unsure why if she got a scratch or what. That is the reason for the vet on Wed this week. Poor thing. But the hike was tiring but fun.
5. 6 years ago we were planning to move to AZ. We moved and packed and found a place and then moved in July. SO much changed after we moved. And here we are nearly 5 years later. That is how life is you can plan all you want but everything falls apart most of the time at least for us.
that is all for now. Going to get ready for work. Have a nice week everyone see you next Sunday!

The Weekend 5 (Sunday, June 12th 2016)
Welcome to the 2nd week of June everyone!! How is your month treating you? Me? Ok thanks. I am trying to just get by and make my life better and find good and such in life. Not easy but trying!
1. Worked a lot this past week A LOT! I was grateful for every hour I pulled in and every shift I got to keep! Prayers I keep all hours this coming week too. My first GREAT check this year and a NEED NEED especially after losing my 19hr the week before! Yikes. Lots to save for my dog mainly but other stuff too. Dreaming big but not too big thanks. Unemployment shocked me this week. I sent my letter in on Monday and on Thursday they called me. Turns out for reasons beyond me they thought my job DESPITE me telling them was a full time job. Therefore what they claimed I was doing wrong I wasn't cause my job didn't apply to that box I have to check either way. Not only do I not need an appeal (no court thing either HURRAY!) I don't need to pay money back and I will get my ue for what I can till it expires in July. Plus back paying me the weeks I missed when they got rid of my claim. Gonna send in one today for the middle of May. They paid me for the first one in May that I had done but couldn't get when they denied my claim. I am grateful and will be saving most if not all this since my hours aren't great again next week and I need to still save for stuff. Idk why makes zero sense. I need a new job. We lost 2 people this week and last and yet still I am getting 12hrs? I am going to tell them to keep me on call for the days I don't work except my dogs birthday I did ask for that one off! And keep looking for a better new job *goal* is by August!
2. School is back on my feed for one week only cause I finally registered for classes on Wednesday! I am taking 18units unsure why I had to pay $30 for this? Normally its $20 and like $3 total extra for each class unit over this. I have signed up for 18 before and paid a max of $23 idk why they changed this? I had to pull $10 out of nowhere for this no fun. But glad I got into what I want. I might drop one of my classes. Most are for fun not my career. I did manage 2 an internship I have no idea where hopefully on campus and a class I dropped out of last Fall that needed for the Spring version of Palomar Live. I plan to take that in the Spring and maybe radio too. I plan ahead. When I am done getting what I need from Palomar I will stop going. But as they help me get experience and let me keep coming for nearly free I will continue to come. Hope they help me out with books too unsure how to save for that while barely saving for my dogs thing.
3. Workouts this week 1 time a walk and bike ride. NO fun. Had some heat spells going on there for the week few days in there got to over 80* inside. Biggest kicker came early Friday morning the 10th. At 1:04am an earthquake around 60 miles from San Diego hit us. And boy we did feel this one. I was in the front alone my sister up but getting ready for bed. The house bumped twice and began to roll. I thought it was shaking but I guess it was rolling. Earthquakes come in two versions: shaking like crazy and rolling. Rolling is okay if you aren't standing it feels weird but still. Shaking is just that. I haven't really studied quakes but know stuff from as a kid I did grow up and live here in California most of my life. Minus my 4yrs from here that's 32 yrs of chances of and earthquakes. Straight to facebook I went and talked to my friends and in seconds knew where it hit and the size. I love the internet. You have no idea as a kid we had radio and tv and had to WAIT for them to tell us what happened. If we wanted to know if others felt it we had to wait to ask them in person or on the telephone. Kids today got it easy! I loved the 80's and 90's but nothing like todays world....
4. Went to Ikea on Thursday and had some fun. Mostly walked around didn't do as much as wanted. The drive in was traffic and hot since my sister has no a/c in her car. Spent few hours in there bought nothing. Priced stuff sure dreamed of things yes. Disappointed they changed how they make hotdogs? Enjoyed free tea and coffee for having the card. Desert on my sister. Then went to Mission Valley Mall. My sister got sandles, I got some spray at Bath & Body. Who knew I have had my Country Apple spray for so long its like 20 yrs old?? Weird! Got another bottle for when mine runs out its my favorite spray. :) Came home then earthquake before bed exciting
5. The 8th marked 2 things. Happy Birthday to my dog Cocoa in heaven since 2001. She would have been 28 and I think of her each year on her birthday! It also marks I cant believe I am saying this: 18 years since I graduated from High School! Wtheck ?? I know my 20th is approaching but I DO NOT feel like I am this old. Most days minus achy bones and being tired all the time (heck I felt that in my 20's) I feel in my 20's. Lady at Ikea thought my sister was a teenager (shes 33). We don't look our age. I am grateful for that. Of course I have had gray hair since before I turned 30 my sister got hers in her mid 20's. I still get it and it doesn't like to be covered. But hey I look young! Yes
That's all for now. Gotta get ready for work soon. Work shorter shifts today and tomorrow. Still closings are never fun so I deal best I can especially since next week I barely have that... good day all happy Sunday! Have a good one see you in a week!

The Weekend 5 (Sunday, June 5th 2016)
Welcome to June! Summer is in the air! Been warming up getting ready for it to begin! Tomorrow I send out my dreaded appeal for unemployment while crossing my fingers and toes and praying they will not make me go to court and will believe me. We worked hard and long on that letter. I'd appreciate they believe me but unsure if they will!
1. Been 5 years since our visit out to California. While it seems dumb looking back how hard we worked to spend a week out here and then have to move back here 3 months later. It was fun to drive from our home for a visit, hang out and then go back home. It took us 6 hours to get here and 6 hours to go back. It was over 100 degrees when we crossed into Yuma after our visit. We saw LEGOLAND Water park for the first time, and also went to LEGOLAND. We hung out with family and had fun. Kinda a bonus catch up trip after a year before that we here from TN. Boy 5 years is just insane and here we are (still).
2. Workouts this week were hard to fit in. I managed a walk in there just once. I wanted to do more a real workout but sadly that did not happen at all. A long walk and that was it. Except for walking around at work, walking to the Sprinter one day and walking around Disneyland that is all I did for workouts this week.
3. Work this week has been BUSY. Next week starting well today I am working around 30 hours. Last week I worked just about 20 and half were closing shifts. I worked a closing shift 2 times and 2 times I worked a mid or an opening. Just glad for hours. Sadly this next check wont be that great but the next one BETTER BE AWESOME! I need to save for my dogs thing she should have it done again already but that wont happen till August I hope! My two shorter closing shifts this week were both odd ones with odd things happening to make them not normal. Plus we moving around our whole store 2 more weeks of this moving stuff and making it confusing. Will take time to get used to it.
4. Saw XMen this week. On a whim we did it last week on Sunday. My sister came home from work and we went an saw it at the nicer theater in town where the chairs are like arm chairs and go back and such. You reserve seats its very fancy. The movie was excellent if you ask me. My last movie for a bit unsure when can see anymore but still want to see some. But good stuff! If you liked the first two pre movies or xmen in general do see it.
5. Went to Disneyland and California Adventure on Wednesday. My sister is paying for a year for a pass for herself and then this month she signed up for me too. Shes nice to do this! Anyways. We left late. But still stayed between both parks like 10 hours. We spend 4 hours then another 5 plus hours at Disneyland. Sad to say good bye to Soarin over California since it goes to soarin around the world in a few weeks. :( That is why we went now. After this week our pass is blacked out till end of August. Its not the really costly pass but the southern California one you know for people from southern California. Good thing we are that! But yeah had fun still. Tiring sure I was going on like 2 hours or less sleep. Glad to be home. Good time still!
Well that is all for now. This week I get to apply for classes for Palomar unsure still what I am taking... get to make my first payment on my credit card via my sister from Rockys trip to the vet. And work a lot of hours. 4 more days! Well I am off. Have a good week. Stay cool baby it is hot outside and only gonna get hotter. Glad I have my fan finally that was a great thing to finally get!
